The Ohio Girls Golf Foundation proudly celebrated 17 outstanding young women as recipients of 2026 OGGF College Scholarships, marking another exciting milestone in the Foundation’s commitment to supporting girls both on and off the golf course.
This year, OGGF received a record 43 scholarship applications from talented high school seniors across Ohio. Each applicant brought her own story of academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and, of course, a love for the game of golf. Selecting this year’s recipients was no easy task.
The 17 scholarship recipients were recognized during the 25th Annual OGGF High School Showcase at Avon Oaks Country Club, surrounded by fellow golfers, coaches, family members, OGGF supporters and friends.
More Than a Golf Scholarship
Since its founding in 1994, the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation has worked to create opportunities for girls to learn, play and grow through golf. The OGGF Scholarship Program carries that mission beyond the golf course by helping young women take the next step in their education.
OGGF scholarships recognize more than a player’s scorecard. Recipients are selected based on a combination of academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, character, commitment to golf and future goals.
This year’s recipients represent everything the Foundation hopes to encourage through its programs: young women who are driven to succeed, willing to lead, eager to serve others and ready to take the lessons they have learned through golf into the next chapter of their lives.
A Growing Scholarship Legacy
The continued growth of the OGGF Scholarship Program reflects the generosity of the many individuals, families, golf organizations and community partners who believe in investing in the future of young women.
In recent years, OGGF has been able to steadily expand the number of scholarships awarded:
2023: 11 scholarships awarded
2024: 12 scholarships awarded
2025: 12 scholarships awarded
2026: 17 scholarships awarded
Behind every one of those scholarships is a donor, supporter or organization helping OGGF turn opportunity into action.
Several of the Foundation’s scholarships have also been established in honor of individuals whose leadership, service and passion have made a lasting impact on girls’ golf. These named scholarships allow their legacies and values to continue through a new generation of young women.
